Soft and pillowy mouthfeel achieved using flaked oats and wheat along with our water profile. all wrapped up with a double addition of Citra, Strata and Strata CGX in dry-hop. resulting in a juicy passion fruit, grapefuit IPA with a dank finish
the idea behind ironfoot was always to be our flagship IPA we loved the name from the get go and wanted to brew a really punchy Diuble dry hopped ipa straight out of the gate to show people what we are about.
we’ve always wanted to use cryo or cgx hops in breweries that we’ve worked at in the past but it’s either been off the table or not doable at the time. so this was an exciting time to finally get to brew beers that we wanted to make.
We went for Citra, Strata & Strata CGX as the hops with this brew. doubling up on the dry hop was a no brainer and the results were great the beer is a really punchy with that thick, creamy mouthfeel you expect in a hazy ipa.
The Idea behind the name and artwork was heavily based on our love of tolkien such as the hobbit and lord of the rings books and lore. Ironfoot is a character from the world of tolkien and the artwork was an impression of that.
Malt – Extra Pale, Flaked Oats, Chit, Wheat
Hops – Citra, Strata, Strata CGX
Yeast – Lallemand Verdant IPA
