The Bruce
Style: DDH Pale Ale
ABV: 5.5%
18x440ml  - £44.00

Now that we have access to the long-awaited golden goose of the new-school, new world hop varietals, we wanted to create a showcase dedicated to Freestyle Hops incredible NZ blends; what better way to showcase than a single hop DDH pale ale? We've always felt our DDH Pales are the perfect platform to let single hop beers do the talking, and The Bruce is out in full force here. Named for Sunrise Valley hop farmer, Bruce Eggers, The Bruce varietal features a blend of Nelson Sauvin, early-season Motueka, late-season Pacifica, and mid-season Pacific Jade. Just as intense rubbing between our hands as it is in the beer itself, the aromatics and flavours of this blend positively burst with crushed gooseberries, citrus peel and orange blossom. Amazing.

The Betty
Style: DDH Pale Ale
ABV: 5.5%
18x440ml  - £44.00

The contemporary of The Bruce, taking its name from world renowned hop farmer and wife of its namesake, Betty Eggers, The Betty is fifty years of hop cultivation and expertise packed into a single varietal. Whilst The Bruce is completely open with its contents, The Betty takes a different route to its spouse, in that the blend in this hop is kept top secret. From our own sensory analysis though, we get a metric tonne of those tropical fruit, lime, and intense orange peel notes all unique to the vineyards, orchards and hopyards of Nelson's iconic Moutere Valley. Perfect for use in one of our high-intensity DDH Pale ales and fermented with our bespoke Polly's LA3 yeast strain for maximum suspension and haze, this is pure sunshine trapped in a glass.

White Oak
Style: West Coast India Pale Ale
ABV: 6.4%
18x440ml  - £45.00

Those who have followed the brewery long enough will know that above all else, we love to pay homage to the OG craft titans here at Polly's HQ. Without these pioneers from the US, and the first wave torch-bearers of the UK craft beer movement, we almost certainly would not exist as we know it today, and in honour of these incredible breweries we've paid our respects with White Oak - a thoroughly modern West Coast IPA. Letting Citra and Comet take the lead on this one, we've packed this beer with a metric tonne of big, brash piney resinous notes, before a light sprinkling of Idaho 7 brings a peachy sweetness to keep things in line. Fermented out with US-05 and with just a light amount of haze, this is an IPA that looks back to the past with one foot firmly in the present."
